No more Apple Steve-notes

Apple have announced they are to withdraw from the Macworld Expo. It is the end of an era for all of us who enjoyed the excitement of watching a auto-refreshing page delivering the details of the new range of Mac products. It was a true fan-boy diary highlight, but Apple claim they now have a much bigger presence generally, and that they are able to reach millions through their Apple Stores and Website.

They have also said that Jobs will not be giving this years Keynote, fuelling yet more speculation about his health. This was refuted by many, but it seems kind of funny that there won't be one final Jobs Keynote to say goodbye to MacWorld. Anyway, enough idle speculation, industry experts aren't in the least surprised that this has happened as Apple have been scaling back their MacWorld presence for years.

Philip Schiller will give the final Apple Keynote at Macworld.
